The below is an excerpt from an unpublished essay of how the inspiration for the writing of Planetization (book, blueprint and plan) formulated itself, where the concept itself was the compelling inspiration to turn The System right side up to the life giving Universals.
"Feeling the Pain of the World" What gave the final vision to the feeling of pain that was being felt by all life on this Planet, and the clarity of the intellectual level of comprehension was the underlying spiritual level. We may all experience another's pain at different levels and intellectually “see” in different ways, but what is common to all of us is our spirit – the indomitable Human spirit. It does not vary, it is constant. It is the level of the Universals of Beauty, Truth, Wisdom, Justice and Love in a complete Whole where essentially, “each is the other.” It lives in us and beyond us at the same time. When a Human being is strongly merged with it in life, it leaves immortal strands of vision, warmth, knowledge and understanding in the world when the physical body passes. Indeed, the American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said in a eulogy:
So when a great man dies For years beyond our ken The light he leaves behind him Lies upon the paths of men
Diana, Princess of Wales still lives in our memory through the warmth she left behind her. The warmth remained because she had perceived from her Heart center, which is the same center of the Universals. The Universals are a universal feeling given to all of us that is beyond the perceptual boundaries of color, cultural, social, ethnic or religious separation. In reality, Diana broke the “national” boundary and “international” boundary to essentially become the princess of the world or the "Queen of Hearts" as she referred herself.
Diana's causes did involve the sick and the downtrodden, but she was berated by her own government when she took up the cause of eliminating the horror weaponry of land mines which kill and maim people long after wars have ended. But we find, when the Heart center is engaged the causes become just so there is no line of demarcation between the (thoughts of the) spirit and the (thoughts of the) political.
The reason why we find thoughts from the spiritual, i.e. human spirit crossing over to the political is because the Universals of Beauty, Truth, Wisdom, Justice and Love exist as a “oneness” and “wholeness” – they can't be separated. They are a complete whole where essentially, each is the other and they brook no contradiction in their ideas or translation. Here's an example:
When Will Campbell, a Baptist preacher, civil rights activist, farmer, writer and volunteer cook for his friend, Waylon Jennings was asked what he thought about capital punishment, his reply was that he thought it was “tacky.” When the moderator asked if he knew what the word meant his answer was:
“Yessir [to the moderator]. I know what it means [the word ‘tacky'—an old Southern word that means ‘uncouth,' ‘ugly,' ‘lack of class']. And if a thing is ugly, well, ugly means there's no beauty there. And if there is no beauty in it, there is no truth in it. And if there is no truth in it, there is no good in it. Not for the victim of the crime. Certainly not for the one being executed. Not for the executioner, the jury, the judge, the state. For no one. And we were enjoined by a well-known Jewish prophet to love them all.”
The Universals are hope realized. When we go to the writings of Abraham Lincoln, particularly the speeches of his First and Second Inaugural Addresses to the nation, we find the imprint of the universals where the eternal, unbounded, unseen Reality has been brought down into the realm of time to, at the same time, acknowledge and seek the unity and union of Humanity. In that moment, an opportunity exists for a new world to awaken together, heal the past and move forward in the Union where there is no more enmity in the rolling down and manifestation of a great Fraternity:
“I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We
must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not
break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory,
stre[t]ching from every battle-field, and patriot grave, to every living
heart and hearthstone, all over this broad land, will yet swell the
chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the
better angels of our nature.”
“Four years ago, all thoughts were anxiously directed to an impending civil war, all dreaded it—all sort to avert it. Both parties deprecated war; but one of them would make war rather than let the nation survive; and the other would accept war rather than let the nation perish. And the war came. With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on, to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation's wounds; to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow and his orphan—to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations.”
Look at the Universals even closer and you will find that there is a self-regulating ethic or Balance within the human mind that is to direct and guide as well as guard the well being of the Human species for its future potential and existence:
“Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men” –
In its social ethic, it breaks up the conflict of opposites, such as “good and evil,” "liberal" or "conservative":
"I believe that, as long as there is plenty, poverty is evil.”
And if we turned to see the thought process of the Universals that guides all life correctly, we find it does not think with its mind or feel with its heart, it thinks with its heart and feels with its mind:
"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy."
If we simply think with our mind and feel with our heart, we have not incorporated
The Balance of the Universals, with the end result being either insanity or despair:
love without justice gives the result of being a good-hearted fool, and justice without love gives the result of being a hard-hearted, feelingless machine.
